アメリカはメリーランド州ボルチモアにある美術館、Walters Art Museum のサイトがデザインや仕組みを再考しリニューアル。Webミュージアムとして所蔵する1万点以上の美術品をもっと世界に広く知ってもらいたいと画像に関する著作権をクリエイティブ・コモンズ・ライセンスで配布し始めました。

つまり、堂々と無料ダウンロードが可能。

作品の下部にある「Creative Commons Lisence」をクリックすると、作品を使用する際の説明が表示されるのですが、膨大な作品の中から自分の気に入ったものだけを集めオリジナルコレクションを作成したり、TwitterやFacebookで共有することもできます。サイトのインターフェースも実にシンプルで誰でも使えるように考えられています
